The mentorship program is a core initiative for building pathways into tech and AI for equity seeking groups. We focus on participants who are often left out of the digital economy, including women, people facing social or economic barriers, and youth starting their careers. Each participant is matched with a mentor who understands both the realities of the tech sector and the barriers faced by people who have been excluded from it.
Who We Support and How
Beyond mentorship, participants receive wraparound support that recognizes the full picture of their lives. This can include help identifying training opportunities, referrals to community or settlement services when needed, and guidance on navigating hiring processes, portfolios, and networking in ways that feel realistic and grounded. The goal is not only to complete a placement, but to help participants build long term confidence, professional connections, and a clear sense of their own path in tech.
A Bridge Into Tech
The program gives participants a practical bridge into the tech . Through real project work, regular guidance, and tailored support, participants develop digital and workplace skills. Our aim is that participants leave the program better equipped to secure meaningful work, contribute to a fairer digital future, and share what they have learned with their own communities.
